Remodels and additions are two areas of expertise at Sweatman-Young. Similar to
custom home building, we can offer suggestions during plan design by consulting with
established partners in the industry. We perform custom construction on kitchens,

and sunporches. Whatever your lifestyle, Sweatman-Young can remodel an area or add
on to your home and enhance those aspects of your day-to-day living you most cherish.
On a smaller scale, Sweatman-Young's acquired skills and experience can be applied to
nearly any custom project. Our diversified capabilities include: re-roofing using today's
top quality innovative products, attached/detached custom garage design and
construction, deck and porch building, as well as window and door replacements, interior
trim updates and floor covering and countertop work. Sweatman-Young's commitment to
customer satisfaction applies to each and every project.

 | This kitchen originally had three separate rooms. We were able to form one large room by raising the roof to meet the existing peak and removed several interior walls. Custom cabinets were installed, along with new appliances, floor coverings, and countertops. The range hood was an interesting addition, being recessed 8" into the ceiling. | | Before

 | | | | | A new kitchen was requested to accommodate family gatherings and entertaining guests.
The dropped ceiling was removed and a few walls were relocated.
The kitchen was updated with custom cabinets, granite tile countertops, and appliances to meet the personal needs of the homeowner. | | Before

 | | | | | This log home was purchased with outdated turquoise appliances and basic cabinetry.
The homeowner wanted an update, so we remodeled to include custom cabinets, butcher-block countertops, new appliances, and Tech Lighting.
The result was a modern look for a rustic home. | | Before

 | | | | | | | | | The homeowner wanted a larger bathroom for this home, so we disassembled the small existing bathroom and converted an unused closet to gain additional space.
The cedar wall paneling was installed, along with a Marblique shower stall, toilet, carved edging sink, black walnut countertop, vinyl flooring, and new light fixtures.
We also hand constructed the bathroom doors according to the owners specifications. | | Before

 | | | | | This bathroom has an unusual ceiling design that adds a lot of character to the room. A separature tub and shower fit into the confined area with ease. The homeowner hand-selected all the surfaces, which we then installed to specifications. | | Before

 | | | | | This bathroom was created with a small addition to the existing home. The tub and shower are one unit, but the shower door allows for separation.
For a different look, slate was used as an accent in the tile floor and carried across as a backsplash for the sink and an addition to the window.
The Marblique shower has a Grohe jet shower system installed, with its own temperature control valve. | | Before

 | | | | | | | | | The owners needed an RV garage to store their motor home and boat.
We cleared a group of trees, graded the site, and built this RV garage with an upstairs storage access to meet the owner's special requirements.
This garage is large enough that friends and neighbors are able to use it for storage as well. The roof is Northern Shake, a metal roofing product. | | Before

 | | | | | This rear porch is constructed with Trex decking and powder coated rails. The decking was installed with concealed fasteners. Built-in planter boxes were also part of this construction addition. | | Before

 | | | | | The tile roof on this home was in need of replacement. After submitting their selection to the local Homeowner's Association, the owner hired us to install a laminated Certainteed Grand Manor shingle. | | Before
